Vishal Veeru Devgan, born as on April 2, 1969, is a renowned Indian film star, director, and producer mainly active in Bollywood. Known as a prominent actors, he has featured in over 100 films and won many awards, such as four National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian award. Devgn made his acting debut with the action-romance *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a commercial success that catapulted him to fame. He subsequently featured in hit action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) secured him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn delivered critically praised performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His role as Bhagat Singh won him his another National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he made a strong comeback with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017).
